Full Time

Electrician

The Role

We’re hiring an Electrician to join our crew and take on a mix of residential, commercial, and light industrial work across the region. You’ll work directly with the owner or independently on jobs ranging from service calls and remodels to new construction, panel upgrades, EV chargers, generators, and everything in between. Every day looks a little different and every job is done to code, on schedule, and the right way the first time.

What You’ll Do

  • Install, repair, and troubleshoot electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
  • Run service work: outlets, switches, lighting, ceiling fans, dedicated circuits, surge protection
  • Tackle larger installs: panel upgrades, sub-panels, rewiring, new construction, remodels
  • Install EV chargers, generators, hot tubs, pool wiring, and outdoor lighting
  • Read blueprints, plans, and schematics; pull permits and meet inspections when required
  • Diagnose electrical issues and explain repairs clearly to customers
  • Follow all NEC, California Electrical Code, OSHA, and NFPA 70E safety standards
  • Keep job sites clean, organized, and respectful of customers’ homes and businesses
  • Respond to emergency service calls as part of our 24/7 availability (on a rotating basis)

What We’re Looking For

  • Hands-on experience as an electrician (journeyman, residential, or commercial background all welcome)
  • California Electrician Certification (or actively working toward it)
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC and California Electrical Code
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a crew
  • Solid troubleshooting instincts; you don’t stop until the real problem is found
  • Valid California driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional on every job site
  • Good communication skills with customers, contractors, and teammates
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs, work on ladders, in attics and crawl spaces, and outdoors in varied conditions

Nice to Have

  • NFPA 70E and/or OSHA 30 certification
  • Experience with solar, EV chargers, generators, or industrial controls
  • Background in new construction or commercial tenant improvements
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, not a requirement

Why Join Beach Electrical

  • Competitive pay with room to grow as you take on more responsibility
  • Steady, year-round work across a wide mix of residential, commercial, and industrial jobs
  • Real mentorship from a team with 30+ years of experience in the trade
  • Training & certifications: we invest in our people and help you advance your career
  • C10-licensed company with a strong safety culture you can count on
  • Local work: most jobs are within Santa Cruz County and the South Bay, so you’re home at night
  • A team that has your back: built on honesty, hard work, and mutual respect
